The historic Valparaíso Palace Hotel & Spa, inaugurated in 1974, and owned by the Chinese group GPRO, the first five-star hotel in Mallorca and a vantage point overlooking the bay of Palma, will undergo a comprehensive renovation in November of this year. It will be done in two phases, first in the rooms and then in the restaurant area, swimming pools or kitchens. The 2020 decree was accepted, processing began in December 2021 and last October it obtained the approval of the Consell. “Now we begin with the urban planning license procedures with the City Council,” says Toni Ferrer, its director, to undertake the most important reform since 1996, after other minor ones in the rooms and suites in 2012 and 2017. “We need to update ourselves with the new work systems”. The establishment will be modernized adapting to the canons of the new tourist law and will install solar panels.
